Suffering from panic attacks is indeed difficult and it reaches a point that when there is an onset of a panic attack, you may feel like you are losing control of yourself or you may feel as if you are dying. When you have a panic attack, negative thoughts swirl in your mind such as you do not feel safe and you must escape from where you are.
Replacing these thoughts may work for some people but for many, it is difficult to think things that conflict with what you are already thinking because all you care about is escaping from the place where you are currently are.
What you need to do is to examine the reasons why you are experiencing panic attacks. There may be a particular experience in your past that you may have reacted in a negative manner and every time you encounter similar situations, you just clam up and get panicky. But if there is no apparent reason that you can determine why you are having panic attacks, then, tell yourself that there is actually nothing that you need to panic about. Tell yourself that your stronger than your panic attacks over and over again until you believe it. Also, use your past successes and achievements to fuel yourself with self-confidence so that, you would be able to achieve what you want to achieve. Pretty soon, you would be able to live a normal life without panic attacks.
